A tad bit vain, Cowlesite dragons are nevertheless excellent stealth hunters. Long and low to the ground, they move effortlessly through bracken and forest undergrowth. Pale spots shimmer across their hides, allowing them to disappear into dappled forest shadows in a twinkling. Armored legs and belly, as well as sweeping curved horns might give an intimidating first impression. However, this species enjoys refined and civilized conversation – especially if it includes a little flattery. We find this young subject basking in a sun patch, as well as basking in its own magnificence. This 8 x 10 inch horizontally-oriented print of the original graphite illustration is reproduced on 100# velvet finish paper, for a matte effect that captures the spirit of the original work.
